HERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT WE DID SUMMER 2014...
ALCOHOL AND DRUG WEEK
Aldine CTC Summer Program would like to thank The Council On Alcohol And Drugs Houston for coming out this year and giving the children an impactful insight on how to positively say no to ALL drugs.
Aldine CTC Summer Program had a blast at Johnson Space Center Houston exploring the ins and outs of space. We also would like to thank Ms. Peggy Carruthers for coming out from Johnson Space Center and showing us an up close and personal view of how astronauts live and survive in space.
Aldine CTC Summer Program greatly appreciates Mr. Jon Bartell for coming to the center and sharing his expertise with us. He offered his knowledge on Science facts and detailed information. He also brought along some fascinating friends as well. We would also like to show our gratitude to Mrs. Kimberly Syrinek for coming out and spending time with us. From Acid and Bases to the Lemon and Soap experiments, we were amazed by the remarkable experiments she shared with us.
Aldine CTC Summer Program was able to unwind and show our Picasso sides that we have. The wonderful staff of Imaginations Painting Parties came out and helped us create wonderful works of art. From puppy dogs to horses and horse shoes, the kids had a blast that day.
...."They were better than they thought!"
Aldine CTC Summer Program had so much fun at the Bayou Wildlife Park in Alvin, Texas. Though it was very hot, we couldn't do anything but enjoy the animals that were at the park. From one humped camels to a half zebra and donkey, there was no limit to the animals that we saw there.
Aldine CTC Summer Program took their minds discovering to the Children's Museum right here in the Museum District. We were able to explore our cultures, character development and responsibility. We would like to give a big THANK YOU to The Children's Museum for allowing us to come and DISCOVER.
Some of our youth was able to discover and refresh themselves at the Stoney Creek Ranch Summer Camp. The youth is able to go to the camp and experience a better outlook on their faith. Of course while doing that, they were able to enjoy Blobbing, Zip Lining, Ropes Courses, Archery and much much more. We would like to really thank the Stoney Creek Staff for allowing our youth have a place to express their faith.
